Interview with Banafsheh Akhlaghi

I am delighted to bring you a “first” – my first conversation in the Creative Calls Interview Series.

When I dreamed up this series of monthly talks, I did not have all the pieces in place. I certainly didn’t know my first guest, inspirational, international best-selling author, Banafsheh Akhlaghi.

I simply knew I had a burning desire to learn more about the lives of people who, each in their own remarkable way, have experienced a profound Creative Call – and heeded it.

When I dreamed up this series of conversations, I wanted to learn how such “calls” are heard or felt: As the still small voice? As wake-up calls? As nudges, hunches, and longings – or as outright Calls to Adventure?

I also wanted to know about the specific tests and trials that have made people stronger in facing them. I’m talking about the moments when we transform obstacles into breakthroughs.

I love stories of transformation!

In this series, I’m committed to exploring and sharing with YOU the journeys of people from all walks of life who’ve said “Yes” – yes to stepping into newer, freer, more expansive and creative versions of themselves…

Because we ALL have this opportunity every day.

Banafsheh Akhlaghi exemplifies what it is to heed a Creative Call. A former professor of Constitutional Law, a distinguished civil and human rights attorney in the State of California, an international best-selling author of the book, Beautiful Reminders Anew, and a speaker who’s dedicated her life to contributing to the evolution of humanity on this planet, Banafsheh has a story to tell. I invite you to listen here.

Heartfelt thanks to Banafsheh for sharing, and to Katie McBride for composing the Creative Calls music and launching us on SoundCloud.
